BLENHEIM, Ontario (25 April 2019) – RM Sotheby’s & RM Auto Restoration are delighted to announce exciting 40th Anniversary activities taking place Saturday, 22 June at the company’s headquarters at One Classic Car Drive in Blenheim, including Art at RM and the RM40 Concours d’Elegance.

Art at RM, organized by a committee of volunteers, in partnership with 519 Events & Promotions, will exhibit dozens of local artisans and makers at the front of the RM property. A graffiti competition will also occur on the grounds, with artists invited to compete by showcasing their artwork on large canvases such as a shipping container or tractor trailer. Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants, as determined by a panel of judges. Those interested in becoming a vendor or participating in the graffiti contest, are invited to write to 40@rmsothebys.com.

A once-in-a-lifetime collector car display, the RM40 Concours d’Elegance will also take place at One Classic Car Drive and will feature some of the rarest and most beautiful cars in the world. Early highlights include the wild yet stunningly graceful 1937 Cadillac Series 90 Hartmann Cabriolet, measuring an imposing 22 feet in length, one of less than ten surviving models, and most recently shown at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance; and the multi-award winning 1933 Delage D8S Roadster by De Villars, one of just 99 models built, and representing the height of the Art Deco-influenced French design in the 1930s. The Cadillac and Delage were beautifully restored by the expert craftsmen at RM Auto Restoration, who have won the coveted Best of Show an unmatched six-times at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Tickets to the indoor Concours will be available for purchase soon at cktickets.com, as well as at the gate upon arrival to the event, with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent. The Foundation works to raise community awareness and funds for the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, which provides quality care to children in the community who have physical, developmental or communication challenges.

Other Saturday event highlights include, entertainment by local act Toast & Jam and lunch options available from a variety of food trucks. A free shuttle service will also be available at RM headquarters to take attendees to and from the Downtown Chatham RetroFest and Tecumseh Park festivities.

Set to be an unforgettable weekend in Chatham-Kent, additional activities for RM Sotheby’s 40th Anniversary weekend will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information and ticket sale updates, please visit rm40th.com or follow us on Facebook.
